As you approach Oakdale on Highway 120 from the north, your eyes are drawn to the stunning wall mural that greets you. The Oakdale mural covers the entire side of the 75 foot wide and 20 foot tall wall at 160 North Yosemite Avenue making it impossible to miss its vibrant colors and intricate details.

In the mural’s foreground is a working cowboy in western attire on horseback, a cow and calf in the background under a large oak tree, and to the right a sprawling orchard of blooming almond trees. The mural was designed by OakdaleARTS to capture the essence of Oakdale’s western heritage and celebrates the town’s ranching and agricultural industries. The Oakdale mural was painted by San Francisco mural artist Cameron Moberg in 2020 bringing to life OakdaleARTS’ first successful mural project for the community and its visitors to enjoy.
