Located at Dickerson Law Office

The Dickerson’s Sheep wall mural came to life in June of 2022. Located on the back of the Dickerson Law Building, the mural depicts a flock of larger-than-life sheep representing a part of Oakdale’s history. The building owner, Brett Dickerson’s father, and Oakdale resident was one of California’s prominent sheep ranchers.

On the 100 foot wide and 17 foot tall wall towering over the viewer, the sheep are white with fluffy wool, and friendly, expressive faces. What makes this mural unique is the addition of the birds perched on the back of some of the sheep. These birds add a sense of whimsy and playfulness to the scene. The sheep are grazing peacefully and looking directly at the viewer, almost as if inviting them to step into the mural and join in the idyllic scene. The overall effect is one of harmony with the sheep and birds coexisting in their natural environment. The mural is a stunning design and work of art by Oakdale’s local artist, Lindsey Wetenkamp, transporting the viewer to a peaceful and serene world.
